kittykins: jump jump jump
kittykins: but that day she landed on the floor
Poor Rachelfins. Last Saturday I woke up at 9:30am to find her lifeless on the floor. Not even a slight movement, she was so stiff, appeared totally dead. So I scooped her into a container, left her in the backyard & i then went into the shower. The amazing thing was, an hour later (10:30am) when I was about to dispose of her, I saw her fins wiggling weakly. She was still alive! After so long out of the water! Goodness knows how many hours altogether. I quickly put her back into the water and she came back to life as the minutes ticked by. In the end she could swim again! Wow, I was so happy. Amazing! But my happiness was shortlived when some time much later she stopped swimming and lay down on her side gasping & gasping every breath she took, her mouth opening and closing continuously. It was a pitiful sight. Poor thing. Heh, disappointing. She was just a fish but still nice too. She'd get excited when I came into the room and would swim up to the surface.
Just read your comment on my blog today. Actually, I haven't stopped blogging. I've been quite bz lately. My wife gave birth to a baby girl about three weeks ago. And I had some writing assignments to complete. Things are less tighter now, so I can spend some time on blogging.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new baby!
