Snowcat was Mr. Bushtails' friend who often came to play. She was a sweet cat with a pink nose and very, very white fur with a few splotches of grey. She often reminded me of Hello Kitty or a Japanese anime cat, I don't know why. Bushtails adored her and followed her wherever she went and would let her eat his food. Once when she was trapped on our roof, Bushtails tried to climb up to her, I suppose he was trying to rescue her. It was a moving sight, we all agreed it was so, so very sweet of him.
I don't know if Snowcat was a stray or if she belonged to anyone. She looked real thin & bony so I thought she might have been a stray. And everytime she came round, she was always hungry. But at the same time she looked too clean to be a stray. The whites of her fur were super white so I thought her name should contain a 'snow' in it :) I finally named her Snowcat after coining several other 'snow' names.
She was also a very curious cat, super curious she'd want to explore every little place like inside cupboards & drawers, & on top of tables & on top of even really high places like cupboards & roofs. That's how she got trapped on our roof once.
She could get really annoying and it was hard to get her out of the house once she got in. At one point I decided to take her in and I had 2 cats for a while. I usually didn't let her into the house unsupervised because she'd just go crazy with her exploring.
She wasn't a very gentle cat and didn't like to be patted much, total opposite of Bushtails.
There were a couple of times when she came home all wet like somebody had bathed her. So I guess she wasn't exactly my cat then. Then again, she wasn't exactly like their cat either, whoever bathed her, cause she was always hanging around in my backyard.
Snowcat was hit by a passing car and died either on the night of 1 October 2007 or on the morning of 2 October 2007, 2 or 3 days after Mr. Bushtails went missing. She was pregnant & we were eager to see how her litter would turn out. My bro's gf had wanted to take one of her kittens & I had planned on putting their pics up here, maybe some people'd be interested to take them. Disappointing. Goodbye little Snowcat! You were one beautiful cat! The sweetest & the prettiest I ever met.
sorry to hear about the loss...
